Hey y’all, we are SO excited to share an extra special project we have been working on over the past few weeks with our friends at Talbots! We had so much fun shopping their new collection full of happy prints and classic silhouettes to curate a playful, yet timeless summer wardrobe. With a few key pieces, it’s easy to mix and match an assortment of “go to” outfits that will take you through the spring and summer season in style!

For the most versatility within our wardrobe, we prefer to work with a limited color palette. This allows for flexibility to mix and match pieces, creating endless possibilities for new looks without breaking the bank! During the warmer months, one of our go-to palettes is a classic red, white, and (all shades of) blue. We adore pairing our favorite white jeans with a crisp white blouse for a monochromatic look and then adding a fun pop of color with our shoes or playful hair scarf. Similarly, you cant go wrong with mixing different shades of blue to add depth and dimension to any outfit! We especially love this stripe shirtdress or this darling chambray style layered with a pretty floral cardigan. And of course, our summer wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a playful mix of happy patterns! There is nothing better than a bold print on a breezy sundress or playful skirt, or even a touch of pattern on a chic silky, summer scarf - prints just make us happy and they are a great way to add pop to an otherwise tonal look!

We believe accessories can transform a look or be the subtle finishing touch to classic pair of jeans, your favorite striped tee, and relaxed linen blazer. We are especially crushing on these bumblebee earrings, this simple gold bangle (perfect for stacking), and these adorable daisy studs! To switch things up, we also love to accessorize a more tonal look with an unexpected color in a shoe, a whimsical printed bag, or a pretty scarf in our hair. And don’t forget our “go to” summer layering essentials - the perfect white jean jacket, a printed cardigan, and a classic linen blazer that will take you from day to evening.
