You’re probably familiar with our love for entertaining, which only grows stronger as the holidays approach! This year we’re so thrilled to partner with Anthropologie to share our favorite tips and finds for hosting in style! We’re delighted by all of their fun and whimsical housewares that instantly elevate festive tables, as well as clothing that’s gorgeous, yet effortless to style and wear when you’ve got a million other things going on as hostess! One of our favorite ways to boost the warmth and charm of dinner parties is with candlelight; it’s incredibly cozy and inviting, not to mention flattering! We love all of the candle holders, tapers, and votives available at Anthropologie, especially in unexpected shapes and materials! With a little extra thought and care for presentation, even the most ordinary (and easy!) things can turn into magic for entertaining…like a few of your go-to recipes served family style on an eclectic mix of serving platters, and a cake from your favorite bakery on a pretty glass stand for dessert! Before or after dinner, bring out these darling peppermint stick drink stirrers…they’re perfect for cocktails and hot chocolate alike! To keep the post-party blues at bay, surround your kitchen with several of Anthropologie’s adorable dishtowels (really, the more the merrier for clean up!) to stay cheerful until that last fork lands in the dishwasher!
We adore wearing dresses while hosting since easy, one-piece dressing frees us up to tackle another task (or just relax!) before the guests arrive. Anthropologie has such an abundance of styles to browse, from casual to black tie and everything in between. Our ideal hostess dress looks chic with just a few accessories, and is comfortable enough to laugh and tell stories with friends long into the evening! (And don’t forget a charming apron to dodge any disasters in the kitchen!). There’s no better season for statement earrings than the holidays, and Anthropologie’s selection never disappoints…be sure to take a look at these colorful drops and this crystal + pearl pair! When you’re fetching more ice or carrying a roast to the table, there’s no need teeter around in stilettos, so go for a low heel or flat that keeps you feeling comfortable and polished! Jeweled embellishments, satin and velvet are a few of the details we look for in the perfect party shoe (plus, they look just as fabulous with jeans on the weekdays!).
